Tommy Papaioannou is an industrial designer, specialised in furniture. He is a founding member of Cor3 Design Group. He has participated in various exhibitions and received recognition and awards. Among them: In 2004, his Alpha chair won the second prize at the 4th International Andreu World Competition. His Scaby stool was selected by VIA in their Libre a Edition stand in the Salon de Mueble 2007, Paris. The stool was also selected as the Product of the Day (3rd of March 2008), by the Design and Design Site, and published in the “book of the year vol.1” 2008. He teached Industrial Design at AKTO Art & Design College. He is managing his furniture company “CASA PAPAIOANNOU” and working as a free lance designer in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Ο Τόμμυ Παπαϊωάννου είναι βιομηχανικός σχεδιαστής με ειδίκευση στον σχεδιασμό επίπλου. Υπήρξε ιδρυτικό μέλος της σχεδιαστικής ομάδας Cor3. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλές εκθέσεις και η δουλειά του έχει αναγνωριστεί και βραβευτεί. Ανάμεσα σε αυτά: το 2004 η καρέκλα του Alpa πήρε το 2ο βραβείο στον 4ο διεθνή διαγωνισμό της Andreu World στην Ισπανία. Το σκαμπό του Scaby, επιλέχτηκε από την VIA και συμμετείχε στην έκθεση Libre a Edition, που έγινε στο Salon de Mueble 2007 στο Παρίσι. Δούλεψε ως καθηγητής Βιομηχανικού Σχεδιασμού στον ΑΚΤΟ Αrt & Design Gollege. Διευθύνει την δική του εταιρεία επίπλου CASA PAPAIOANNOU και δουλεύει ως σχεδιαστής επίπλου στην Θεσσαλονίκη, Ελλάδα.
